Topic: Help! Differentiating IT and CS...

What is the basic difference between a B.Tech IT degree holder and a BE CS graduate?
I am a second year student doing my B.Tech in IT. But i still dont get it. Will it have an impact in my placement chances, me being a B.Tech student?
What kind of companies recruit an IT student?

AND

In which areas should an IT student be strong (like networks, languages etc.)?

Please help me!!!

b.tech and b.e. are one and the same.

whoever tells you they are different, doesn't know anything about engineering.

some colleges uses the title b.e. and others use b.tech, its the choice of the colleges, while the study, practicals etc., are the same.
